if anyone wishs to support this they can get in touch with the wicklow people very easily

I think it migh actually help genuine hunters, because what this incident did was to highlight the poaching problem, suspicious activity after dark involving jeeps, lamping lights and full bore rifles migh now actually get reported,if your above board, you've nowt to be worring about.

Sloppy/lazy journalism is a hallmark of what passes for media in this country - just look at the number of muppets employed by the O'Reilly ragsheets:rolleyes:

i noticed though the first story when it broke in the independant is different than the one in the wicklow people,

Did they catch the people who apparently fired the round to say they have them labelled as "Illegal Deer Lampers" or is it again an immediate asumption . As plenty lads on here have already said not everyone with a lamp is a bloody poacher .

I believe there may be more to this story than meets the eye, according to some local well placed contacts.

I think legit shooters have nothing to fear, just the cowboys in it for the quick buck(pardon the pun) might see some heat from the local law enforcment...
