Sorry if this has been asked before. I have Adobe Reader 7 on my PC at the moment. However, I can't convert Word or JPEG files to PDF. I tried to click on 'save as' in the Word file but there was no option to save to PDF. What do I need to do?
    Thanks in advance.

Adobe Acrobat Reader is what it says - just a reader. You can download a free pdf maker - primo pdf is one such and install it. It will appear in your printer list so you can print to pdf (it saves the file as a pdf) in whatever quality you like. There are a good few free pdf makers just do a web search.

Google docs will let you upload a word file, and download/save it as a .pdf

Edit: Sorry it was already mentioned in 2nd post.

CutePDF is another free print-to-PDF software. Have been using it daily for 4-5 years, very basic but does exactly what it's supposed to.

Microsoft Office 2010 can convert Word documents to PDFs. For Office 2007 you can download a plugin that'll do it for you. :)
