Galaxy S2 + Meteor + MMS

    Just wondering if anyone has their Galaxy S2 sending MMS messages properly on Meteor?

    Kinda getting fed up trying things now only for them to fail on me. Have gotten on to the Meteor site twice to get the settings sent - installed & made no difference. Called in to a Meteor shop yesterday and the guy behind the counter played with the settings on my phone. Told me I'd to send myself a message to activate it (sounded strange to me, but tried it none the less). An hour later the message sending failed. :(

    What really confused him though, was the fact that I can/have recieved MMS messages - something he thought wasn't possible since I couldn't send one to myself :rolleyes:

    So has anyone actually got it working? Could you share the settings? Do you tweak the Meteor Data or the Meteor MMS settings in the APN options? Any help appreciated as its kinda frustrating for such a basic thing to not be working.

    Mine works fine out of the box, have you tried a different meteor sim card on the device?

    I had awful grief getting my mms to work after porting from another operator but eventually got it to work using these apn settings :

    Press Menu again and select new APN Name this Meteor mms and add the following settings:

    * APN: mms.mymeteor.ie
    * Proxy: 010.085.085.085
    * Port: 8799
    * Username: my
    * Password: mms
    * Server: http://mms.mymeteor.ie
    * MMSC: http://mms.mymeteor.ie
    * MMS proxy: 010.085.085.085
    * MMS port: 8799
    * MCC: 272
    * MNC: 03
    * APN type: mms

    Press menu and save.

    Fieldog you're a bloody star! :D

    I think what might have confused things to begin with was that the phone was originally eMobile. It was the only one in stock when I went to get it so she just changed a few settings and put in the Meteor sim - so it wasn't loaded up with the Meteor specific settings out of the box.

    Sorted now! :)
