Heating problem in A4

I have an 02 Audi A4 and since the summer it is only heating on the passenger side. It's getting cold now and I'd like to have my heating back.
When I set both heating controls to HI I get warm air on passenger side but only cold air on driver side.
Anyone know what this might be or if there is a cheap way to fix it?

Get it scanned with VCDS and see if there are any fault codes showing, probably a flap motor or something.

Tossy, thanks for the reply. Do I need to bring it to a dealer to have it scanned? Any idea what that is likely to cost?

What part of the country are you in? A dealer will charge 60/70 euro just to hook it up to the diagnostic computer but if there is someone near you with VCDS (same set us a main dealers diagnostic software on a laptop) then they could scan it for you.

I'm in Cork - I'll check with a fella I know he might have what I need other wise I'll bring it to the dealer when I get paid next.
    Thanks again for advice.

    FYI VCDS: www.ross-tech.com

If you plan to keep the car (or stick with VAG cars) and do your own maintenance, it's well worth the investment.
