Limerick City Council Grant

    Hi guys, I got my grant last year, and this year i got my review form, filled it in, attached all documents, and sent it in, all on time.
    Its the middle of October now, and I didnt get any sort of correspondence from Limerick. Im worried now, if my case was even considered. No correspondence at all, since i sent in the documents.
    I rang them, but they say that they only talk to people at the desk. But i live in dublin.
    Can anyone advise me on what i should do.

    I'd say send someone in to City Hall. There's only 2 or 3 of them in the office from what I remember and if I'm right they deal with elections too, so there may be a further delay with the presidential election and 2 referenda.

    It's quite possible they haven't even gotten to opening your envelope yet.

    I phoned them today, Friday 28th October 2011, and they say that only some of the letters have been sent out.

    Naturally of course, yer one who deals with the grants if out till Tuesday so thats the only info i could get off them.

    Thanks for your reply, at least some are already posted, limerick county council already sent their cheques out to colleges, will you let me know please once you get a reply.

    I got my grant confirmation last week from Limerick VEC!
    Then again, I applied in mid-July and none of my friends have heard anything yet either..

    I wouldn't worry about it though, just give it another few weeks :)

    Still waiting from confirmation on whether or not I got the grant, for Limerick Co. VEC. I got all my letters, birth cert etc. back and I am 600 and something down the list. Going to ring them on Tuesday and see if I can find out some more. I applied at the end of August.

    Finally received my confirmation letter from Limerick City. But, my grant is now down from over €3,000 to just €1,250. And now with the bloddy budget, the €500 a year book allowance is down to €300.
