Mon the Shels, what a win tonight, we're back in the big time. One game from Europe! Should be a great final and hopefully Shels get to wear red!

Assuming Sligo qualify for Europe through the league, if they were to win this would the European place go the Shels or to 4th place in the league?

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

I'm under the impression it goes to the highest placed league position so we need to win it.

    AFAIK, Shels get the place.

There was talk of ourselves getting the European (and Setanta Cup) place if Pats made it to the final as Derry have this UEFA ban (supposedly) and Bohs... well, who knows about Bohs.

I imagine now, it's Rovers/Rovers (CL or EL), Pats (EL) and Shels (EL).

Fair play to Shels, would love to see them do it.

The only thing Shels deserve is to be wound up

Really hope you get stuck in the 1st division

Cup final is three weeks away.

    Cold showers all around.

Have the FAI announced ticket prices yet? If they're as reasonable as last season, I might head along to it again.

Can't wait, should be a big crowd and a great game.

We've a decent record in that stadium too!

    Same price as last year.

How big was the Shels crowd tonight? Can't help feeling that Pat's would have brought more to the final both on and off the pitch.

    :D

Same as last year. €10 for Adults. €5 for kids. Heard it on the radio earlier.

to be honest, any club that does something like shels im not happy but at least they have been down in the doldrums for a few years and probably suffered more than any other club who has engaged in questionable moral activity....
so congrats on the final, i reckon they will bring a crowd too. Their promotion and this final is sure to bring a lot of old fans out of the woodwork and its their chance to make an impression before next year.
but iv sligo connections so i wont be cheering for ye!:D

Hope it's half as good as the 96 league cup final!
Against anyone else I'd support Sligo.

the fai season tickets include the fai cup final this year, so that should add to the crowd even more than last year.

would expect upwards of 30k again this year, shels wouldnt have the same support at the moment as rovers, so attendance maybe down, but even 30k would be an incredible day for the loi.

    happy for shels.

Sligo played rovers off the park last year.

Anyway, we need an excuse to post this
