Can someone help with this? I think theres an airblock in my toilet cistern upstairs. The water is only dripping in when I flush it ( I have to fill it up with water myself) but the shower and sink are fine as is the downstairs toilet. Can someone tell me what I should do? Plus in a 'Plumbing For Dummies' kind of way because Im a girl!
    Thanks!

Have a similar problem to this, takes about 20 minutes for the cistern to fill up, but as has been said the other toilets are fine.

Probably just a blocked orifice or a ballvalve washer needing replacement , if your not confident get a plumber to sort it out.

If its always been like this i reckon they are high pressure cisten fittings. If its new i reckon a blockage.

If you cant unblock it then a new inlet valve is 20 euro which should fit both problems. Just make sure its low pressure.

Had this exact problem a few weeks ago, and although I could have bought the washers on E-Bay for 5 or 6 euro, I couldn't wait for delivery,so I bought the whole fitting in B&Q, and took the washers out of them.

Easy enough to fit, didn't even have to turn off the water.
