    Hi Guys,

I need to get the aux input enabled on my saab 9-3, which requires hooking the car up to a saab tech 2 tool. Cunningham & Higgins were the saab dealer in Galway, but they closed recently. Does anyone know of a garage in or near galway that has one?

    Thanks!

    Ronan

Well Ronan - did you ever find a garage with tech 2, having a problem with car not starting and need to get it to a saab dealer.... or find an indy with tech 2

    thanks

Sorry OP, don't have an answer to you. jcbrowne, what model is it? If it's a SAAB 9-5 petrol most likely causes are:

    1. crank position sensor
    2. DIC (coil pack). This apparently can smell/look burnt underneath when it gives up. Swapping one is easy for a quick test.
    3. Fuel pump (listen if the fuel pump energises for a couple of seconds with ignition on)

    Not sure about other models.

    Good luck.

Arch motors across from the Westside shopping centre. They used to be Saab dealers but still have Tech 2

I usually go to these lads: http://www.gtbautos.com/index.html

They seem to be very up to date.
