This is just a change of jobs, he's going Louisiana to Texas.

His monosyllabic tones will be perfect for interrogations getting crims to confess.

It's the new way to send illegal Mexican's back over the border.
Seagal does a roundhouse and they fly home for free.

Seagal actually has an interesting early life, went to Japan and learned his skills the hard way. Weird but utterly committed young guy. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steven_seagal
Would make a better movie than his usual muck.

That's being far too complimentary, not to mention an insult to muck.

    haha very true. :pac:

I was reading some website that when he went to Japan aged 16, after World War 2, there was a lot of anti-american feeling and he was treated very badly by the teacher and pupils of the martial arts school he joined and lived in. He did all the crap jobs and was beaten and was lowest of the low. Then he picked up the language and skills and won them over and became head of the school, first non-Japanese person in history.
Married a Japanese woman and is still highly thought of there.

I would watch a movie like that.

Of all the action movies you watch, how many actors can do that in real life? Like put the house burglar in hospital ?

Brad Pitt and Gerald Butler won't be handy to have in a bar fight.

Jaysus he certainly has been enjoying food anyway, doubt he'll be swinging too many round house kicks at the baddies. Suppose he does have a big fck-off gun though.

Much of what Seagal has said about himself has turned out to be made up or exaggerated. He is pretty much a perfect example of a clinical egomaniac.

I love the names of the characters he plays:

    Casey Ryback
    Det. Gino Felino
    Mason Storm
    Forest Taft
    Orin Boyd

Brilliant! I'm not the biggest fan of cheesy action movies but I am fond of a good Seagal movie now and then.

Well the stuff I read (can't find link now) was not fan forums or his own website.
But the fact is, he was the first foreigner in Japan to run a Dojo (school). And I can't find anything to say that he is not what he says he is.

His films seem to consist of four 25 minute "fight" scenes where he slaps some guy around, and each guy dies of boredom. Then he goes down the pie shop and the credits start rolling.

    Gene LeBell > Steven Seagal

Just a quick question why do boys/men get all excited about Steven Seagal?

Because Steven has taught us men that alarming weight gain, unconvincing dye jobs and straight-to-video style career stagnation shall hold no power over us, once we too pretend to have mastered an obscure martial art.
