    Germany's best selling sat-nav?

I don't need any more endorsement than that.

12.4mb size ? This sat Nav obviously uses data and not installed maps. That could be a problem for data usage and in areas with no 3G.

Looks like the app is free but you have to pay to buy the maps to get some use from the app.
Not exactly the bargain it appears to be.

After the 12.4mb download there is a 20mb download for voice pack for your region, it can be used totally free of charge unless you want offline map for ireland, these are €2.99

    Not bad at all.

App is smooth, has iPod feature / fast GPS cold start / loud and clear voice instructions / speed warning.

Get it while its free, use online mapping and if you are happy with it pay the nominal €2.99.

    Thanks OP good find.

Well I took the plunge and paid for the maps, I'm living on a L road and it doesn't even show on the map! Main roads seem fine but to be honest its a waste of money for me as it seems to be missing several rural roads around.

This is a common problem not only with sat navs, but also with pcs and any other gadget out there.

Some people need to realize that new technologies are just tools, and they can not replace common sense or their ability to think

Navfree is a better option imo. It downloads the maps to your phone whereas skobbler uses your 3G signal for mapping.

It's free but woefully bad. Uninstalled it already.
I'd be pissed if I had paid for it.
