Opel Insignia

Just a few quick questions for anyone who can answer.
The Opel Insignia 2.0CDTI 160ps. Are all of these four wheel drive or are any of them two wheel drive?
Are there many positives or negatives to four wheel drive?
Are the Opel Insignias exactly the same as the Vauxall Insignias besides the badge?
Any comments from Insignia owners on what they are like?

    Thanks million for any replies.

There are three 160ps CDTI variants and only one is 4X4 - the one that says 4X4 on the back :D

Yes, the Vauxhall and Opel cars are the same, but the Vauxhall will have a lower secondhand value in Ireland.

Thanks Confab. I see garages are asking for the same amount of money for the Vauxhall as for an Opel Insignia but I'd believe you that they are not worth the same.

Drive in with a Vauxhall to any garage and you will be guaranteed that you would get less for it than a similar Opel model.

If you are looking at a Vauxhall Insignia then you might as well cut out the middle man here and go to the UK and buy one yourself.

Are you looking new or used?

There are changes to the 2012 model, so if you are looking new then don't buy a stock vehicle.

All models except S will get built in Sat Nav. Start/Stop system bring emissions on the 2wd models down to band A, and I think the 4x4's come down to band C along with the Auto's. SRi Limited Edition will also be available, SRi spec with OPC Styling kit.

Front seats aren't the comfiest, and the performance from the 160ps engine isn't as good as it should be on the current model, due to the ecoFLEX changes, hopefully the band A version will be better.
