Speed limit increased north of Connolly

Was I seeing things today? I was on a northbound DART and there was a 70mph speed limit just after the Sligo line diverged. Have they finally lifted the crippling TSR from the Port Tunnel works?

I noticed a couple of new speed limit boards have indeed gone up, perhaps this is in preparation for the speeding up of services with the new signalling system, due in operation at the end of this month.

There was some track work done on points between Howth Junction and Fairview recently which was slowing things up a little. From this weekend onwards the DASH work begins which will also improve things big time.
