Needed my front wheels balanced, few weeks ago there was an advance winter check up on the pigs back site, 30 euro, group buy price 12 euro. JUst back from them after leaving the car in there this morning. Can't fault them, they advised me that in a few thousand miles I'd need front pads and perhaps tyres, which is bang on. They inquired about the belt history of the car and recommended a coolant change. No recommendations for discs or shocks etc. Also the balancing is perfect now, I hadn't mentioned to them twas out, I did ask them not to rotate the tyres though. While there I did price tyres, the lads there were very helpfull. I had seen the vicars road branch in cork mentioned positively on here before.

I've used the Vicars Road one before and found them good on prices. Had similarly positive experiences in the one in Clonmel for balancing.

Fast Fit in Togher were also good when I got 4 new tyres last month. Comfortably beat the others by €30 a corner. Same price as buying online as it happens.

    lol :pac:

To be fair I've had quite a few good experiences with Advance on the Naas Road(JFK) but I always put it down to being in a fleet car which belonged to what was probably their biggest account but I went in with my own car and my oh's car to get tyres/balancing and was looked after, wasn't even charged on one occasion

Just so I don't disappoint you their coffee machine was out of order when I was getting my tyres. That meant I had to walk to the shop for one.
