Household Debt - Facts please

Would anyone know where I could get information relating to:

    1) Average personal overdraft allowance

    2) Average personal credit card debt

    3) Number of mortgages in arrears (household)

    4) Average disposable income a household has remaining after paying all monthly bills

I'm trying to get a picture of what the real facts are relating to the level of debt affecting households in Ireland today. The politicians say one thing, the papers say something else.
Obviously commercial business has serious financial issues too, but it's the household stuff I'm interested in for now.

    Thanks Boardies.

    1. Financial Regulator.

    2. Financial Regulator

    3. Financial Regulator. This is published pretty frequently.

    4. You would need to estimate this from various data. Really, it isn't as simple as averages, it's the acute cases that cause the problems, not the averages.

Cheers for that. My mate who didnt buy / borrow during "the good times" and subsequently who has very little overall debt (30k overall, including mortgage, lucky s.o.b) reckons he's better off than most when it comes to credit rating, as so many others owe big mortgages, have maxed out cards and so on. But then again I'd say credit rating is probably non-existant for most people these days!!

If you are doign a paper on this, I wouldn't mind seeing some statistics on it as it is something that interests me.

Something else I would love to see is a comparison with earning €30k this year versus each of the last 10 years.
