Back to the future. It has a DeLorean that can fly and travel through time, what else does a film need.

Terminator 2. I was fasinated with that movie when I was a kid, I used to drive my parents mad, beause I recroded it and used to watch it over and over. I love the first Terminator too but T-2 is my favourite. Just a shame James Cameron didn't continue making the movies. I would have liked to see T-3 and T-4 under his direction.

Like the OP, I always loved Stand By Me. There are a lot of films that while the film itself may be ****, it reminds you of a different time, like childhood, and you get a nostalgic feeling while watching them!

    Some of my favourites include:

    Stand By Me
    Back to the Future
    The Karate Kid
    Rocky
    First Blood
    Coming To America
    Trading Places
    Stand And Deliver
    Die Hard

Not only because they're great movies (which they are) but because when I watch them I'm taken back to earlier years, piled into a room with my brothers and friends, all watching videos of these!

Hard to pick one. I've watched some films over twenty times but the film that hit me in the gut so hard with its brilliance that I had to see it again almost straight away was District 9. I loved everything about that film.

I cant think of any dreary, existential social commentaries out of French cinema, so Ill go with Godfather Pt 2. Epic stuff.
