Philips Eco/CFL bulbs 2.99 for 2 at Dunnes

Browsing the lightbulbs at Dunnes (Carrigaline) today - most were silly prices - like €7.99 each etc.
But they have some packs of Philips low energy bulbs in double 'combo' packs - eg 1 x 20W sort of curly bulb teamed with 1 x 11w compact (both are CFL's) reduced from #6.99 to €2.99 per set. These look good - they are quite compact and will fit in place of ordinary old bulbs (some of the cheap ones are way too long). The 20W one should give light output equivalent to an incandescent 100W - good for reading by. They had 8/10 year guarantees.
Not as cheap as the CFL bulbs someone else spotted in B&Q (4 for 1€??) but they do look very good.
Oh - and there's 20% back on your Dunnes card this weekend.

I can believe it..... just not my local garage! It's weird how the price of CFL bulbs is all over the place, from 50c to €5.00+ - you wonder if people are paying any attention to price tags before buying.

The 20W bulb is this type - which I haven't seen going as cheap as the smaller one - which you have pointed out is only €1 at Tesco.
