Well lads, i generally shoot with the father who currently has no gun dog, i myself have a GWP. My father is thinkin of gettin himself a springer, but would it be poosible to work a springer and a pointer together? I imgained the springer would eventully end up flushing the game that the pointer is pointing at. Has any one else come across this before?

To be honest its not a great idea for exatly the reason you said. and its the pointer who will suffer and may eventually start running in.

ive used pointer and springer together the odd time.should do no harm to your pointer if he,s an experienced dog.i wouldn't do it all the time though eventually pointer would get jelous of springer flushing everything and start doing the same himself

I have a GWP and 2 Springers, it breaks my heart to see the two of them running together.
