    While I am no Great fan of Richard Hughes or flat racing in general. I just want to give me support to him in handing in his licence i hope others follow him quickly so this whole mess can be sorted out very quickly.

    The new rules do absolutely nothing for racing that is positive all that happens is major races are going to be decided by chance. I hate that the BHA have totally turned over to popular culture and have no spine. They have changed the rules of our Great sport because people who have no interest or regard for it think it looks bad.

    This is the same as Formula one introducing a speed limit because a crowd of Grandmothers and the aumish think it is dangerous or looks bad to our young drivers. It is like telling a Dairy farmer he cannot use a cattle crush because it looks bad ... It is like telling a Farmer he cannot use Electric fencing because it might hurt the animals trying to escape.. We must stop this madness before it crosses the Irish sea as well.

    If we keep going down this road where do you stop. Not allowed spray weeds cause it might hurt there feelings?. not allowed walk through the grass encase u crush a buttercup?. Not allowed scold a dog for trying to eat a child?. Not allowed pitch a tent encase when you are driving the tent pegs you hurt the earth?. Not allowed swim in the sea encase the fish feel you are invading there home?.

    People we must put a stop to this nonsense. At the end of the day a horse weighs half a tonne and they are being ridden by a 10 stone man. they need guidance and correction. a stick especially the modern approved ones dont hurt them at all.
