Different brands are better for different subjects! You should tell us what subjects you're doing so we can help you out! Key Notes is invaluable for English. Also Rapid Revision Chemistry is amazing (apart from Bohr's Theory) and Revise Wise Biology is pretty good too!
Also I don't do Geography but I've heard many, many good things about a revision book called 'Sue Honan's Exam Skills Geography'.

Avoiding LSMS is pretty much just a rule of thumb regarding revision books, they all tend to be quite bad.
    Hope this helped!

Okay... Now obviously I dont do all subjects but from what I can gather these are supposed to be the best...

    English: Key Notes

Irish: An dTuigeann tu anois é? (not actual revision books but are good)

Maths: None really right now due to project maths issue!! :P

    Geography: Exam Skills

    History: Revise Wise

Agriculture: Rapid Revision (only one out)

    Biology: Revise Wise

    Chemistry: Rapid Revision

Physics: http://www.independent.ie/education/exam-brief/physics-exambrief-and-teachers-view-1310955.html these and Rapid Revision

    French: Bein Dit!

German: Less Stress (only one out)

Spanish: Rapid Revision (only one out)

    Business: Rapid Revision

    Economics: Rapid Revision

Accounting: Rapid Revision or Revise Wise

Art History: Less Stress (only one out)

    Home-Economics: Revise Wise

    Music: Rapid Revision

As you can see Rapid Revision are generally the best with a few exceptions... hopes this helps people!! :)

Geography - Exam Skills Geography by Sue Honan
English - Key Notes 2012 (make sure it's the 2012 one)
Physics - instead of buying a revision book, would you consider using the notes from this website? They're supposed to be top class!
French - Some of my friends use Bien Dit and find it good but I don't use a revision book for French.

Hope someone else can help you with Irish (I use my teacher's notes) and Applied Maths and Maths!
However as far as I know there is no revision book for App. Maths
