Miriam just asked Dana if there was a bill that implemented €1b worth of cuts in social welfare, would she refuse to sign off on it. I thought finance bills skipped the president.

Miriam gets Martin to tell us what a good Catholic he is.

What the hell does any of this nonsense have to do with the presidential debate.

Miriam... what an idiot."you're a republican... you know who did that"

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 5,042 Mod ✭✭✭✭GoldFour4

Miriams questions are just silly so far. Does it really mattter if the future president goes to confession?? Think shes fairly biased against Martin M with a lot of her remarks.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,101 ✭✭✭MitchKoobski

She just handed some lot of first choices to McGuinness, that was ridiculous.

    Aaaaand here comes Gay again...

This is getting interesting... Very curious remark by Norris there, was it actually complimentary?

    Yep, completely stupid.

It may be bias, I think she's just trying to be controversial though, it all seems a bit forced.

all 7 candidates are rubbish, we should get Simon Gowell(cowell) to run an x-factor type contest for the President!!!

You really want Jedward as president?

Mitchell's best performance of the campaign imo. Banging on about McG but doing it well.

    It was a trick question.

I heard this about Gallagher today... Sounds like he deliberately set up a new company so that he could forgo the debts owed by the first company to the state... He may have not done anything legally wrong, but it was certainly morally wrong.

He's a "ballsy" businessman... the entrepreneurial type we need don't ya know... definitely NOT a politician

I really dislike Martin McG's boorish, bullying manner. In addition to his appalling involvement with murders that is. Shocking to think he could be considered as a representative for anything really

Miriam looking as good as ever.

McGuinness shameful, and she aint afraid to show it. Good for her!

Iquestion if he is even a member of the human race let alone the Presidential one.

Really undecided on the others so far... listen and learn i guess.

Why is Miriam trying to put them up against each other?

Michael D is head and shoulders above the rest with regard to knowledge of the role

I don't mind Gallagher, he's FF through and through but can someone tell me in what way membership of a political party can influence the presidential role? It's quasi-political surely

I want to walk in there and take Dana by the hand and just say "You've had enough love, time for a Horlicks then off to bed with you. Grown ups are talking"

Fair play to Mitchell for pointing out that there's nothing shameful about being an FF member.

Backbench TD's had little to do with policy direction of the Government so how people manage to blame ordinary members for the bad decisions made baffles me...
