    anyone get this to work?
I was getting errors all over the place and subsequently found out that I have to have a partition on sd card.
whats the eastiest step by step guide for MIUI and best way to backup all contacts, calls and texts.
    thanks

This will backup your texts https://market.android.com/details?id=com.zegoggles.smssync&hl=en

There is no need to back up your contacts as long as you have synced with google, visit www.google.com/contacts and sign in, if your contacts are there you have nothing to worry about

I'm not sure if you can back up your calls, if you want to try it I would recommend backing up your call app with titanium backup though the call app may be part of the skin on your phone (sense if it's HTC or touchwiz if it's Samsung) so it may not be possible, in general titanium backup will back up any apps you have, this is particularly useful for games so you don't have to start again at the beginning

Ah I see, I had MIUI once without partioning my card, I didn't like it because it had no app drawer instead spread all my apps around my screens, and also it looked like an iphone. Only had it on my phone about 20 mins and I went to oxygen and have never looked back, I have a desire as well.

    whats oxygen like?

Battery life wise Oxygen is fantastic, I went from leaving work with my phone hanging around high 60s to low 70s (%) to quite often leaving with it in the 90s or minimum high 80s

I suppose the battery is gettting older now, it's usually in the mid to low 80s when I leave.

This would be unplugged from about half 5 and finishing about 3, with about 20-30mins internet browsing and not a whole lot else.
