Yeah, see I'm not seeing the laughter there, all I see are tears, and if I have to watch the LLS on Friday, or read Duffys book chances are they'll be my tears!

Duffy has also told of his "insecurity and worry" at being told by bosses at the Montrose broadcaster that he was not entitled to sick pay after a leg operation.
"In my 23 years in RTE, I only took one single day off sick prior to being knocked down, so I thought the decision to refuse me sick pay was unfair, to say the least."

Hey, Irelandians! Tim will be flying off (literally – he’ll be wearing a Superman costume and everything*) from his gig in Dublin tomorrow to make an appearance on RTÉ’s Late, Late Show!
The topical show will kick off tomorrow on RTÉ One at 9:35pm, with Tim expected to make an appearance shortly after 11pm. Let’s hope he remembers to put his underwear back on the inside beforehand!

If a light were to "accidently" fall tonight, RTE would cut well over a million € from their budget, also with Tubs plummeting ratings and "Talk to Joe" bad words about RTE, "accidently" knocking off two birds with one light, would clear RTE's headache.

I doubt there is anyone posting here tonight who doesn't feel the pinch these days - be it job losses, short time, pay-cuts, levies etc with little option for any of us to "improve our lot".

What sickens me though is the likes of Joe Duffy getting air-time tonight to plug his little sideline, Mike Murphys return from the cold with a makey-uppy series after his failed property investments and Gay Byrnes mini-series a few weeks back to give him a leg-up too. All at tax payers expense.

We are a patient people !

I remember when Cecilia was on the LLS for the first time and she was afraid to come on and Pat went back stage and brought her and her mother on (Berties ex, her name escapes me) and he spoke to her like she was a twelve year old I expect the same from tubs.Bet he doesn't mention she's a millionaire as not to embarrass her:rolleyes:
