Following on from my earlier thread, yesterday i got my Sky Plus HD box installed. I had a few programmes recorded on the original Sky Plus box but didnt get around to watching them.
2 of these programmes were on Sky Anytime on my original box, so i though i would able to watch them when i get the HD Box but when the HD box was installed they are not listed on the Sky Anytime on this box. Any ideas why this is so?

The new box wouldn't have been functional when those shows were downloaded, I imagine ?

This happens every so often, plug the satellite box from the power and restart it after a few minutes and more programmes will start appearing in the box as it records them during periods of inactivity, if you are attentive enough you may notice the hard-drive spinning whilst the box is on standby during the night and it is then that it is loading these programmes into the hard-drive.

So in your opinion if i do this will the programme that was meant to be available until Friday 14th appear in my anytime list?

Most likely not in your case as the programmes you wanted to watch are now probably stopped being broadcast to the anytime section of the box.

The reboot option as I pointed out to rushnaldo usually cures the problem where the box stops getting new programmes every so often usually when the box has been plugged in and has been running non-stop for a few weeks and it suddenly stops receiving programmes and a simple reboot usually fixes this.

With the Anytime programmes you can press record to save them over into the "Personal Planner" side of hard drive so they can stay there indefinitely if you haven't enough time to watch them within the allotted time space. You could do this if the programme is still on the old box, ring up sky and pair the card to the old box and then watch whatever you missed and ring them to pair the card back to the new HD box then if you wanted.

For the more techie and Sky fanatics there is a programme called Copy+ which will move your saved programmes from the Hard-drive of one Sky+ to another and is used by amateurs when they go upgrading their own Sky boxes usually to 1TB or 2TB drives to give them massive amounts of recording space. Not for you as it would void the warranty in your new Sky+ HD box.
