Season 8 episode 2 *spoilers*

Yeah yeah yeah I havnt posted here in ages. I cant deny that the majority of season 7 was meh for me.

So I was very happy with this episode because the issue I have been bitching about for ages has finally been resolved.

I always thought Foreman was a great character that they mistakenly peaked at the end of season 3 and when they brought him back they struggled to find a place for him and went on a seris of god awful sub plots (i bitched and bitched about the fourteen relationship)

So having Foreman take Cuddy's place is the best thing for his character, it keeps his antagonism to house active while changing the relationship and the changes around the hospital reflecting him were interesting. They could carry this plotpoint for quite a bit.

Didnt think as much of the house/wilson broken friendship sub plot, we knew how it would end and it had no steam. Great way to resolve it but expected.

House himself was quite good in this one, his dickish temperment had a nice anarchistic streak to it with how he was reacting to the changes and his reception.

The new duckling was very entertaining, brings me back to season 4 with the Mormon doctor some bit though cant place why.

I was expecting him to go get the doctor from the prison at some point but how the new duckling stood up was well handled.

I assume this will be the format for the first part of the season House being saddled with a new random duckling each episode until he finally gets foreman to drag back chase etc.

I don't know, I think this duckling is staying. I don't want Chase/Taub/13 back. I'd gotten tired of those characters. House used to be very brave as a series and didn't shirk at dropping his assistants. I'd like to see this again.

I was a bit disappointed he got his old office back in the end. Some of the fun was seeing how he adapted and they could have kept that going for another episode or two before having Foreman rightly get pissed off with his antics and, presumably, the complaints from other staff and decide to reinstate him as happened at the end of the episode.

I expect the cute prison doctor to make an appearance soon, maybe next week. Perhaps Chase will come back and she'll be the 3rd. team member.

I thought Kato was pretty good, found her quite enjoyable.

Yeah, that was a little too clean. Out of prison and part of his office back in two episodes...obviously he's been warned about his behaviour, but yeah.

I liked this one, little actual time spent with the POTW, instead focusing on House. Liked the new doctor. Wasn't sure what to expect when I heard about her first as sometimes people with comedy backgrounds can rely too much on those instincts and suck at acting, but based on her first episode I needn't have worried. Looking forward to seeing what happens with Foreman and House. Agree with BlitzKrieg re the House/Wilson friendship subplot, that was a little pointless.

They could kept the end scene and nothing else from the wilsOn subplot and it would have had the same effect

C: "Why aren't you more alarmed?"
    H: "Aaahaaahahhh she's dyyyiing" - Win.

Funny how Wilson hit him in the face, and then said did he want to get food .. I kinda thought it'd be the end of them after Wilson said he didn't like him (:S), though.

Hav't got round to E3 yet. Expecting to see Cuddy soon, no doubt.
