Boards has wonderful travel sections..but i think that a travel partner section would make it so much better!

It can be hard to find get friends/family to agreet o go on a similar trip, everyone has different ideas as to what they want to see, where they want to go etc.

There are various sites that allow you to find someone to travel with, like the Thorntree lonely planets forums or gumtree, but Lonely planet doesnt have a dedicated Irish section, and gumtree is vary vague and not widely used.

What you think travel mod/travel forum users? Am i talking rubbish?

I agree but then I have a vested interest as I cater for single travelers.

I think thats a really good idea. I know myself I have loads of unusual places I'd love to go and visit but can never get any of my friends or family interested in coming. Places like Cuba, Morocco, Vietnam, Russia and Egypt that I wouldn't go on my owneo. A travel partner section would be a great way of finding a few other people interested in going somewhere off the beaten track and getting a trip together.
