Use Irish credit card to book holiday with UK Company

Read some threads about booking a holiday with an English company, and flying out of an English airport, using an Irish credit card.
My own experience today was as follows, I tried to book on-line today, and all was fine until i had to enter a post-code, no way to get past that, as it had to be a valid one.
So i rang the company direct (Thomson) and explained what i was trying to do, I was told that, " I could use an Irish credit to book a holiday with them provided that, there was at least 30 days from the date of booking to the date of travel", which i was informed was the time they needed to validate the card.
Not good news for me as i wanted to travel sooner, so i got a relative in England to book for me using their credit card and my irish e-mail address, and just got confirmation from company, and e-tickets to follow in a couple of days. cool.gif
