Replacing electric wing mirror unit?

I'm wondering how easy or difficult it would be to put a new electric wing mirror unit on the driver's side of an 02 Nissan Almera. The old one was completly ripped off and thrown away. I'd be grand with screwing a new one on but the electrics would be the problem. Would this be difficult to do, should it be left to a professional?

Its about 3 screws and a quick relese electrical connection, easy DIY job. Check prices for the replacement part from a motor factors before you go a main dealer.

If they are colour codedt may need to be sprayed, also ask the motor factors about this, a lot cheaper to DIY again.

Check out youtube for some tutorials on both the mirror and paint.

ahh youtube how to spray

if its colour coded give a few breakers a shout they might have a colour match, might be better than a diy botch spray job

as above, breakers yard for same colour, When you get one you will see the wiring connector on it.

Probably you will have to remove the inner door trims / card to get to the connection (but thats easy).

Good luck, post again if your stuck.

Get the correct colour, prime it and lacquer it and it wont be a botch job.

I recently replaced my wifes wing mirror on an astra, mirror came primed, along with paint and lacquer came to about 90 euro from a motor factors, 250 plus from a dealer.
