    Hey guys,

There was a thread a while back on here regarding getting s-off on certain HTC phones, I never thought much to get it done at the time but I need it done to get my phone rooted!

I need a Wildfire S done with the XTC clip, anyone able to do it in Dublin area I would gladly pay to have it done...

PM or respond to the thread would be great, thanks for reading!

    Any luck bro?
Just got my new wildfire S yesterday...only to find to my horror I couldn't get s-off!!
I had old wildfire and it was done via alpharev but yea, now you need an xtc clip. Like you I ain't shelling out megabucks on one. So count me in folks if anyone knows someone that can do this?
Wish I did my research..assumption the mother if all....

    Hey Frank,

No, I have not had any luck getting it done, when I saw someone replied I was hoping it was someone offering to do it for me!!!

I contacted some guys on the forum by PM, some didnt respond and some eventually did but had not got the clip unfortunately....

I was thinking as a last resort - would any of them unlocking shops in town have one?

Indeed, I was the same as you, did not do enough research before falling in love with the phone!

    :p

There seems to be a temp root over on XDA, but its not just the root for custom roms im looking for at the moment as the scene is in its infancy, it is more the removing of Vodafone bloatware from my phone!

Good news Dawg...got a guy, on malahide road, 15 euro to do it. I am going to see him today, I sent you his number and told him you were interested. If he does the business, id be happy to pass this on to anyone. My old wildfire was rooted, now I almost feel like I downgraded!!

    Thanks MacGuyver....

Unfortunately that method only supports the original Wildfire and not the Wildfire S (or Marvel as its known in US/Asia)
