texting someone in oz. codes??

    i urgently need to text someone in oz. the number i have for her is 11 digits long, is there a code i need for putting in front of the number???

    its urgent so could someone reply quickly?

    11 digits is right for mobiles....is 61 the first 2 digits?

    Drop the first digit in the Oz number and replace with +61...

    If it is an Australian number, it should start with 0061. No code need go in front of that.

    00 gets you the international line and 61 is Australia.

    Read the thread, she never said she had just the Oz number.. She said in the OP that it was 11 digits long.
    An Oz mobile number alone is 10 digits long, eg 044 123 4567
    The international version is 11, eg 6144 123 4567

    So she just needed to add a + or 00 to text.
