    Hi Guys

Sorry if this a dumb question, moved in to an apartment recently thats has a water pump. I assume this needs to be left on 24/7 as if I turn it off there is no water in the flat.

Also is it expensive to run this 24/7. I asked landlord but he dont no anything about working the pump.

U assume its a booster pump to pressurize the water , it should not take a lot of electricity when plugged in and not running .
If its working correctly it will only run when you use some water and will only continue to run for a short period afterwards and then shut itself off ?

Also this should be moved to plumbing forum

The pump is in the hot press.
The central heating is storage heaters.
