    what is your opinion board collegues:D on fodder beet as a feed. i am thinking of buying 10 acres as a standing crop and harvesting it and feeding to young bulls

    If you get a winter like last 2 yrs it will be a pain in the ars3. Frozen water to wash it, going rotten in the clamp, lot of extra work. Ok it is a good high energy feed, needs a hi phos mineral, cattle will perform well on it, but it has to be clean and not rotten.

    If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

    Pull it all in the one go, wash and chop it and mix it with maize or citrus. We did this the last two years, works very well.:rolleyes:
