This isn't in cinemas til Oct 14th but just read a review on entertainment.ie. Did anyone catch it at the Galway Film Fleadh? I've only seen Colin Morgan in Merlin - intrigued to see how he handles a totally different role like this...

I saw it a while ago. It's OK, maybe being a bit generous there. It's good to see an Irish film-maker taking on themes that are actually pertinent, but it's around half good ideas to half cliches. There's a drug addict subplot that is beyond woeful and painfully simplistic. That said, the resolutions aren't always as easy as you'd expect, and Meaney gives a nicely understated performance.

Did you see the guy on the Brendan O'Connor show complaining about the Government's obstacles for jobs creation? It's the same with filmmaking here.

Thanks johnny_ultimate, the entertainment.ie review says more or less the same thing, I do like Colm Meaney and haven't seen him in anything Irish in ages....

Just wondering from those of you who have seen the movie Parked already, can you remember if there is a scene in it where Colm Meaney is shaving at his car when a group of 5 or 6 children walk by in a line with 2 adults singing 'Row your boat' and one of the children runs up to Colm and makes a face at him? I ask the question because my son was one of the children in the line and I'ld love to see him on the big screen if that scene made it to the final film. Money is tight and I don't want to buy at ticket for it (even though I would love to see the movie!) if that scene ended up on the cutting floor! Thanks

Dont think that scene made it. Its a shocking bad film imo. Irish or not, its not worth it.

It's good to watch once and once only.
