Hi all starting hormone replacment therapy soon and need to minimise my alcohol intake long term . So I'm wondering whether people here can recommend low or non-alcoholic wine and beer?. I'm also wondering whether they still make one drowsy?.
    Thanks

I think you would get more response in the Beer Wines & Spirits board than the non-drinkers group!

Just saw this now. I've been a non drinker for about 2 years now and I find that sadly non alcoholic beers and wine still give you a bit of a hangover, as the majority of the chemicals that cause a hangover are still present.

However no, they don't make you drowsy at all in my experience and I find cobra 0% to be my favourite beer and Carl Jung sparkling White wine the closest to dry White wine. Everything else is pretty sweet, especially erdinger!

Most of these non alcoholic beers and wines are just normal beer/wine that have Most of the alcohol boiled out of it.

Try Ginger beer/ales or sparkling grape juice such as ame for the look and similar taste but without the heavy price tag or the residual alcohol.

To be honest, my favourite alternative to alcoholic drinks is water as it is the only drink that you can go pint for pint with beer drinkers without getting a sticky sweet taste.
