Friend put music on my ipod - how to manage it?

Hi, I have an iPod classic which I gave to my mate to put music on for me.

I've now plugged it into my computer and none of the new music is appearing in my library (as expected I suppose). I need to delete some tracks, manage them into albums, do artwork etc. so what do I do?

If it helps, I 'manually manage' my music instead of syncing. I also have all my music on an external hard drive.

did you sync the ipod since your friend put the songs on it, if so they are already gone, if not use sharepod to copy the songs to your computer and then add them to itunes

    I do the same.
But the way I do it is to think of your library on your computer as the place too add and remove music and change the song titles/band names etc.

That way you can get music from your friend on your external hard drive or USB memory stick, and then add the music to your library that way. I don't use the iPod to do it.

Also I try to keep my backed up music the same names as the Library music so that if you have to move computer the music is all there if you need it.
