Panti tweets regularly, definitely worth a follow: http://twitter.com/PantiBliss

And I'm sure you could find some other people worth following from the list she follows: http://twitter.com/#!/PantiBliss/following

I get that twitter is a useful tool for business.

I don't understand why individuals want to use it, to tell lots of other people all about themselves. I suppose for the "me me me" generation, it's perfect, but I have little interest in the domestic arrangements of people with ego's bigger than intellect.

I've looked at the link given for the twitter account, and we have such gems as "PantiBliss Panti Bliss
Dublin this afternoon is the classic "soft day thank God".

    and "PantiBliss Panti Bliss
Going to see the drag-laden Gardenia tonight with @thisispopbaby @shirleybar and some blog competition winners. #ubdft11
    21 hours ago"

    and "PantiBliss Panti Bliss
My iPhone has suddenly lost all sound. Completely silent, otherwise fine. Anyone had this happen before? Tried turning off/on already...

Does anyone really want to know that it's a "soft day thank God" or the exciting news about the sound on her iPhone?

I'm afraid that I just don't get it. I am able to get through life without the deluded assumption that anyone wants to know that I have just put on a wash, or emptied the dishwasher, or all the other mundane and boring details of my life that some seem to relish documenting on twitter.

My iPhone had problems yesterday, and I fixed it without the need to broadcast any or every stage of it to strangers (or even friends). I marvel at the ego's of those who seem to think that there are people just waiting to learn every detail of their daily lives.

Yeah, you're not getting it at all really.

One of those tweets is about the weather... everyone talks about the weather. Fair enough. Can't be interesting 24/7.

Another tweet is telling people of an event she's going to. People like to know what's on... useful for those who follow her.

The other tweet is asking for help with her iPhone. I happen to know she received helpful replies within minutes of tweeting that. Useful for herself and anyone else who might be having that problem.

Twitter isn't just about broadcasting what you had for breakfast, it's a conversation. Those little bits of info allow you to stay connected with a person. They humanise what might otherwise be "just a news source".

Each to their own though. If you don't get it, that's fine. Go read a newspaper or something.

Wouldn't it be strange if it were each to someone elses's own!

If it's all as trite and mundane as that, then I don't want to get it as life is too full and interesting to waste it on such banal and uninteresting domestic details being broadcast by someone who seems to have problems with their own ego. I don't mean just that twitterer, but most on twitter seem to have ego issues.
