    Hi there
Having a problem with our water,we noticed there was no water coming out of our taps,so we asked the neighbours if they had the same problem, they didn't,so we went up to the attic with a neighbour and the tank was empty,no water coming in.

The stop cock (is that whats it called)he said he thought It might have been blocking something not allowing the water to get back in but it wasn't,now the water in the taps seem to be back or coming back but the two electrical showers theres no water coming out of them, toilets are flushing but the water is brownish colour, also the two electrical showers were on at the same time could this have caused it?

    any help appreciated

Is there cold water at your kitchen tap ?

If no then the problem most likely is with the supply from road to house.

If there is cold water at kitchen tap then ballcock is probably blocked with dirt or grit and you will need to turn off water to house and disconnect it and clean it out, if your in rented accom obviously get the landord to do it asap .

ya we have cold water coming out of the kitchen tap,not in rented accom, would having two electric showers on at the same time cause this problem?

Ok is the ballcock on the tank in the attic leaving any water in ?

If no it could be blocked with dirt or grit , if your not handy you will need a plumber if you are handy you need to locate the valve to turn off the incoming mains, in most houses this is located under the sink at the of the unit .
Once thats defo off check the water in the kitchen tap shouldnt come out anymore you need 2 pairs of grips and and you need to disconnect the ballcock from the tank , you will notice just inside the wall of the tank on the ballcock there is a nut , thats where you need to disconnect it be sure not to lose the washer there is usually one at this connection, then take the ballcock out and there should be a washer and a cone shaped piece of plastic the grit or dirt usually catches in this plastic , clean it out put it back together the same way and reattach it to connection in tank and turn back on water and check did it help

then nothing to worry about except one last question .
Do your showers heat the water aswell or do they take hot water from the cylinder in hotpress ?

Cause if they heat the water in the shower as far as i know you shouldnt be able to run both at the same time safety thing?

They heat themselves and thats excactly what I was thinking that we can't have the two on at the same time

You'll need to bleed the pumps.

you might get away without bleeding pumps , turn the shower to fully cold , take off just the shower head it be sure not to lose the washer , the shower head is hand tight onto the chrome piece on the hose. then turn on the shower for no longer than 15 seconds and see if you get full flow, if you dont get full flow you will need to bleed pump then.
