deer and wallow holes

Does anyone have any experience with hunting near wallow holes? I came on a big one yesterday that was well torn up and Im just curious if anyone has ever sat nearby and waited to see if a stag would use it during daylight hours. Its sika area where Im hunting and nearly everyone I asked said that they only come to wallows during the night but Ive hunted and shot whitetail bucks from stands over wallows during the day.

sat 150 yards or so away from a wallow yesterday eve and seen 4 stags from half 6ish onwards till i could see no more , well worth a wait,

Pic is a bit small but looks more like a rutting stand to me than a wallow..
