Satellite signal to tv card

I'm looking at getting a tv card for my laptop, likely one of the pcmicia express card ones.
What I'm not sure about though is getting picking up the signal from a satellite box.
In the house the aerial comes in and goes into a satellite box along with the signal from the satellite. This box, one of the free to air not a subscription one, then sends out a signal on a coax to a splitter box which sends the signal to all over the house.
So on the tv channel 1-4 are terrestrial channels analogue, and 5 is the channel for the sattelite box, the channels for this are changed through different remote.

Now the tv card I'm looking at are generally dvb-t, my understanding here is this will pick up digital terrestrial signal. What I'd like to be able to pick up is the digital signal yeah but also the output from that box. What form does that signal take and will I be able to pick up with a card. Thanks for any help.

You will be taking the signal from the RF Out which will be broadcast in analogue. The card will have to be capable of decoding analogue aswell as MPEG 4 Digital.
