    Apologies if this has been asnswered before, I did look through 4 pages here! :o

    I have a facebook business page..

    I only noticed in the last week or so on the left hand side..

    7 are talking about this

    1 was here

    Can anyone tell me how this works and what it means? :confused:

    The talking about number is a measure of the following ...

    Liking your Page
    posting to your Page’s Wall
    liking, commenting or sharing one of your Page posts (or other content on your page – like photos, videos, albums)
    answering a Question you posted, RSVP-ing to one of your events
    mentioning your Page, phototagging your Page
    liking or sharing a check-in deal, or checking in at your Place.

    The "were here"

    Is the number of people who checked into your business.

    Some more info. What it counts is structured stories that are eligible to appear in a users feed.

    I have read that it's a 7 day figure refreshed daily. There will be Insights dashboard for it.

    The number will give you an idea how engaged or active any page is. Should be interesting to see the numbers for some of the brands that have been active building up their fan count.
