I thought North would start he was very impressive the last game . Im surprised Jones didn't even make the bench.

Why have Jones on the bench when you have Hook? Upon seeing that team, I now feel very much like your username

I'm getting a bit worried that Gatland hasn't come out with any stupid comments yet......

Come on Warren give us a bit of extra motivation.

Australia - overly confident and duely put back in their box
Italy - Mallet warns our pack will not cope and they were duely put back in their box

Wales - ah come on Warren make it a good one , world cup and all

I think id prefer Jones on the bench as he is less likely to do something stupid in a tight game.

We have to be nervous about the back line they can run try in from deep. Which we have trouble doing. Third back 3 are probably the form 3 of the tournament.

    Im still quietly confident.

I'm confident Ireland will win and I'll be backing them too. Theres a few of those Welsh players I know nothing about and have not even heard of before and they havn't actually beaten anyone good yet so although they're playing well, they havn't proved anything.

That's a tasty enough team. Great impact subs as well. We'll still beat them though.

Well for the next few days I'm going to be sitting on my own in the dark rocking back and forth mumbling to myself. Come match time, I will be inconsolable and probably hide under my bed until it's over.

This. Except I'm in a timezone where I can dampen my nerves with alcohol beforehand.

The Welsh look very strong all of a sudden. Gatland hasn't come out with his usual ill-advised comment. North, Phillips, Lydiate, Faletau and Roberts are big and scary.

Mind you, if I was O'Gara and expecting those lads to run at me all day, I'd draw quite a lot of comfort from seeing O'Brien, Ferris and Heaslip in my corner.

Good team plenty of youth and form there, pretty much the expected one too, I and a lot of other Welsh fans would be happy seeing it.

    48 hours to go... =)

There's a lot of intelligent Welsh fans elsewhere thinking "Heaslip, Ferris, Healy, SOB, POC...sh*t they're some big boys." The Welsh are a very good side and will be a big test for us but I think we've got the power and, more importantly, the nous to bring us through. As Noffles says, it's a fairly young Welsh team especially in terms of test level exposure. Players like Heaslip, BOD and ROG are too long in the tooth not to have a few tricks up their sleeves. Still, it's an excellent Welsh side and we can't take them lightly. The three quarters is a real cause for concern.

Against one of the best defences in the tournament I'm suprised they don't have Jones on the bench. If they are two down with five to play I'd fancy them to work field position for a drop goal.
Pretty sure Jones is Wales best drop goal merchant.
I'd be looking at guys like North as well to work field position in later phases for drop goals. Wales have some backs that are well able to do at least that.
It's meant to be raining as well which should result in a lower scoring game.

    I'll take 3 - 0 right now Dave!Who's with me:D

    I'd take 3 -0 alright.
Are you expecting the type of weather to open up from the skies that makes global news headlines combined with the ref being pressured by Rugby World Cup Ltd. people not to call the game off.
If that is the case I say we pick Tony Buckley and Paddy Wallace. Buckley will just wade Paddy Wallace across the line Mitch Buchanen style.
N Paul OConnell was a champion swimmer I think I read.
