No one has had more influence in the last 30 years in the tech industry than jobs has.

He will be sorely sorely sorely missed.

Never had any love for Apple, but the man was a pioneer in what he did.

Thoughts with his family and loved ones.

Shocking news indeed. Was only saying to my OH earlier today that the iPhone 4S debut presentation didn't have anything like the air of magic that Steve brought in the past.

One of the greats of our time. RIP Steve.

I respect that, I'll wait for the AH page :P. To be honest I honestly have a lot of respect for him, shaping how we interact with everything we see today, a true visionary. Also loved the way he's often randomly select an email from his well known apple email account and begin a correspondence. Stuck with Apple to the bitter end, fair play to him.

The coverage on sky news is absolutely terrible. They were pre-prepared for the death of Amy Winehouse going straight to coverage.
One of the greatest minds of the last 50 years dies and all we get is the breaking news line at the bottom

Well now in fairness the time of night isn't exactly going to work in there favour...hard to get hold of people etc....! Amy Winehouse was found dead in mid-afternoon...much easier for them to cover in fairness...along with the fact she was English so was always going to get more attention!

Ah but come on its only like 8pm in the states. And the man has been ill for some time. Surely a reel should have been prepared. He did give us pretty much all the technology we use to communicate on a daily basis.

Jesus, this is really sad to hear. Whenever i think of Apple, i think of Steve Jobs. Steve Jobs guided Apple to everything they are today. Perhaps this is why the event on Tuesday seemed so downbeat, they knew they weren't long from this sad news :(

    R.I.P

They can't be expected to have a reel preped and ready to go for every ill famous person in the world! Late night Sky News is always very scaled back these days compared to daytime hours! And he didn't give us it all, his thoughts and ideas were revolutionary, but many many other people are responsible for it too!
