android market app not working

    hi , ive got an xperia x8 , android market was grand for a while but recently its not working , i uninstalled updates and put it on aeroplane mode , but still no better , it says network error , and i can hit retry or cancel ,, it keeps happening , any ideas ?

    Clear the cache.

    Settings / Applications / Manage Applications.
    Find Market, Clear Cache.

    See if that helps.

    I get that from time to time on the Desire with my O2 sim, when I put in a VF sim it sorts it and I put the O2 one back in. Happens ever since I had the phone, don't know what causes it or sorts it out. It took me a week to get the market to work on it from when I first got it. It wouldn't even work through the phones browser, the website would not load up but everything else would.

    Speaking of the market app, the one on my Desire updated to anew version today with a slightly different icon but my Sensation still has the old version. How do I force the market app to update? Can't work it out.

    Having the same problem. Cleared the cache and uninstalled updates, with no joy. Any ideas?
