Don't know if this has been asked before but here goes. How does one dispose of DE blades when done with? Looking to do so safely.

Hey there, any DE blades I have ever used have a slot on the back of the pack that you can slide the used blade into.

I put mine in the slot on the back of the pack.

Don't they just end up in landfill then? Or do you chuck the pack into the recycle bin and hope they figure out that there's sharp steel inside the plastic?

just wondering, would a pharmacist know where one might be able to dispose of sharp items such as blades? I'm just uneasy about putting my old blades in a box/tin (with warning labels) and throwing it out with the rest of the rubbish, doesn't seem right.

I guess they would, but is that any different to people throwing out blade cartridges?

If you want to be very exact about it they should probably be disposed of as bio-hazardous waste.

I use an old metal piggy bank and chuck them in that.
