Recommendation for good mortgage broker/bank?

    Hello,

We are living in Boston and plan on moving home in the next year or so.
We would like to purchase a house prior to going home as we both work now and have income coming in. If we wait to move home to do this we will have to find jobs and be permanent in them for a certain period of time to qualify for a mortgage.

Would anyone be able to recommend a mortgage broker or bank who will be able to help us qualify for a mortgage so we can buy a house that we have seen and really love?

We have been turned by one mortgage broker who said the banks will not lend to you if you live abroad.

We also tried Bank of Ireland directly whom we have an account with and they have also declined us saying it's best for us to move there first and get jobs and then apply.

We realize we are considered investors trying to qualify from this side and know we have to put 25% down but is there anyone else who is living abroad who has had success getting a mortgage in Ireland?

I appreciate any referrals / information.

    Dolores
