Hey, I was thinking about selling some jewellery or other handmade items at markets or online on etsy. I'm wondering if a license is needed to this either way. I don't seem to have any luck googling it.
    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hiya,
you don't need a license for selling online. Nowhere I've come across anyway. Etsy's a great one to start off on, handy to set up and very low charges. something like 20c to post an item and then around 5% sale commission (not sure on the figures, so don't quote me on it!).

As for markets, it depends. The street markets and more established ones you usually do need a license. But the smaller ones and pop-up markets you generally don't need a license, just a €20 to €40 stall fee. Your best bet is to just ask the organiser of individual markets if you're not sure.

    Hope that's of help.

In my experience, some market organisers expect you to have market insurance before they will rent you a spot, but not all do.
