On a separate note, those yellow fabia combis were apparently bulk ordered for a taxi company in dublin, have bizarre spec, and were all supposed to be crushed for tax reasons once they were finished with

They shouldn't have 7 seats though....

I've seen a couple of them still knocking around so definitely not all destroyed (though I wonder is that some sort of myth as they're not exactly inconspicuous) and they definitely shouldn't have 7 seats!

Ah lads, Stop taking the pi$$

Have you never seen a 7 "SEATHER" Fabia ?

They have 2 seats in the "BOUTH"

If the pictures were'nt so sh1te you'd have a chance of seeing these extra two "SEATHS"

That's ridiculous. I own a Skoda Fabia estate and I can see how you could comfortably and safely fit two seats in the boot.

I don't know how anyone would ever go to view a car based on such a shambles of an ad...

IIRC, TMC in Navan brought those and the Octavias in as taxi-specials. I don't know about 7 seats in the Fabias, but I was told the Octavias were base spec with 1.9TDI engines (a spec not offered in ROI at the time) and that stupid blue/purple paint job.
I dunno if they were for a specific taxi company or were for sale to everyone.
