Anyone know where I might get some straps in Dublin.

Not the looped ones though, something like this or this.

I want to get them tomorrow if I can that's why online stores are no use.

Buy looped straps and cut them to length if necessary - that's about as much use as I can be!

DITTO or if you are adventurous break into someones car and steal the seat belt!!!
or to be more helpful go to a camping shop and ask for nylon webbing you know those straps for tying your sleeping bag to your rucksack etc they might only come in 1 inch width which is probably a bit narrow but ya never know

I had thought of seat belts but didn't want to wreck my own. Breaking into someone else's car and wrecking theirs is an idea though.

I'll probably cut the looped ones or look for some webbing and get a proper pair at another stage, cheers.

I have seen webbing in €2 type shops, in ratchet sets for attaching stuff to roof racks, so auto shops should have them too.

I remember getting trousers in dunnes or somewhere and you got a cheap and nasty belt with them which was made of webbing type material, about 1.5" wide.
