    Hi Guys.

Realized that barter and trade are very successful means by which we can remove cash from our lives!! well not today or tomorrow but at some point in the future i'm guessing and even that could be out of our hands.

I need some work done on the grill and have no cash!! there lies my project, how can I successfully exchange what I do for what another can offer??

I'm qualified in a few areas, or experienced as I like it said.

I'm a Quantity surveyor with 15 years on and off site experience in civil and construction projects ranging from €900.00 to €230,000,000.00 where I have a sound understanding of the industry.

I have a number of innovative/efficient construction products and services at my disposal. We have a number of agencies under our belt between walling, flooring, air tightness membranes, heat recovery systems etc. I.C.F (Insulated Concrete Form-work) being our preferred system.

We have all the equipment to complete a house or building of up to 10,000 sqft on floor area with walls over 7 metres high.

I also can offer Quantity surveying services for whatever project or idea you may have.

If you know of any dentists/orthodontists please let them know that they could get some serious value as I am very willing to trade.

    Love & light. :)

    D :)

A guy came in to my clinic once and asked the same question, would I provide treatmemt in exchange for his services, when I asked what he did, he told me he wrote poems and stories. I had to explain the difficulty in exchanging dental work which is expensive to provide for a poem. OP I would imagine that very few dentists/orthodontists are building anything now and unfortunately your talents may not offset the costs of providing orthodontic or prosthodontic work. Sorry.

    hey guys,

Thanks for commenting on my post peoples.

However I did not receive much in the line of an offer?

If i could stress that I am not looking for major work to be carried out and my teeth are in good condition. I have 4 that need bridging or an implant would be preferred.(sports ) and I have fillings that need replaced.

I would prefer not to travel to Hungary to get it done at some later stage... why could i not trade with one of my fellow brothers or sisters??

I may contact you via private message as some may be concerned as to what the tax man may think or have to say.

Who is the tax man anyway???

    Love and light.

    D.

Doolander, 4 bridged teeth or implants is a couple of grands worth of components/labs/clinical time's worth. You can of course trade, but you need to find someone who requires the services of a quantity surveyor and provides bridgework/implants, the odds are stacked against you I'm afraid.

Could you quote the grammar policeman from this thread please? You got slapped down for a silly thread in this forum and it seems to me that you're now spreading dung just to avenge your perceived slight.

You need to bring a third part in to it, as the service you provide is not needed by the vast majority of dentists. However, many dentists need a builder sometime, to fix a leak or do repair work or an upgrade / renovation. What you need to do is find a builder who needs quantity surveying, and a dentist who needs a builder....

Now that makes a lot of sense....

Failing that,as most builders may have surveyer mates or may be able to do some surveying themselves

he could find a doctor that needs some surveying done, a sick builder who needs some kind of operation,a dentist that needs a builder and then you are sorted...

my offer of yanking some teeth out with a pliars still stands by the way. And i just found some putty and a cordless drill in my shed,i could give you a couple of fillings if needed also

Ok this isnt going anywhere apart from smart comments so i'm locking it.

OP in summary, your skills probably arent going to lend themselves to getting something both you and a dentist find acceptable and as mentioned above you would be liable for tax.
