How do I add money...?

First of all I apologise for asking a repetitive paypal question that I'm sure you have heard a million times before but everyone tells me something different so I'm very confused. My paypal account is linked to my AIB bank account and I want to buy something online. Will the money just come straight out of my bank account OR do I need to actually go into the bank and transfer money into my paypal account? I have online banking too. Someone told me you don't need to transfer money to your paypal account if your bank account is linked to it because it just takes the money straight out of your bank account but alternatively someone else told me that isn't true in Ireland and that you have to actually add money into the paypal account via bank transfer. Where do I go from here? I need to buy something tomorrow using paypal and I don't know what to do.

Yeah, PayPal can't deduct funds directly from your bank account, you have to transfer it to PayPal first.

Log into your PayPal account and click on "Top Up Account" under the "My Account" tab and you'll see details on what to do.

Easiest thing to do is to set up a Credit Card on your PayPal account. PayPal can deduct funds directly from your credit card whenever you make payments.
