Is this contract for entertainment?

    Hello

Video gaming is entertainment, that's obvious, but is registering for a game and paying for the game over a period of time a "contract for entertainment"?

If I lost "something" in a video-game (a MMORPG one) - something that i've spent hundreds of hours getting - due to developers ignorance and arrogance without offering any remedy to retrieve it (it was a game bug), a breach of such contract?

    cheers
    Alex

If you read the terms and conditions you agreed to you will see that the account is not your property but theres.

But I'm not arguing that. What I want to argue is that game bug caused me emotional drama (which it did). That's contract for entertainment. You don't argue loss of money but loss of enjoyment etc.

So, there's nothing I can do?

Ninja edit: I don't think this clause would be relevant, not even legal as it would limit my access to court.

You're contract is for you to provide money and them to provide you with access to an account and a server. They have not breached the contract in any way. In fact, in most of them there are clauses covering these exact situations.

There is something you can do. You can stop paying them.
